Everyone’s telling you to use n8n.
Or Make. Or Claude Code. Or whatever tool someone posted about last Tuesday.
You’re watching. Taking notes. Saving the tutorial for later.
Here’s the part nobody says out loud.
Those people are monetizing your attention.
Every video, every post, every “step-by-step guide” is farming you for views, followers, and course sales. That is their business model. Not yours.
The hype cycle never stops
Last year it was n8n conquering the world with their open-source project.
Before that it was Zapier. Before that it was something else.
Now it’s Claude Code and agentic frameworks. Next year it’ll be something new.
The tools change. But the patterns? Guess what, they don’t.
Someone builds something cool. Creators rush in to teach it. Thousands of people learn it. Almost none of them make real money from it.
Is n8n useful? Yes. Is Claude Code impressive? Sure.
But if you’ve followed every tutorial and still haven’t made real money with any of these tools, that’s not bad luck.
That’s the model working exactly as intended.
Who is actually getting paid
The next time a 19-year-old on Instagram or TikTok tells you he’s making 50k a month selling VAPI agents, stop for a second and think about it.
If he’s posting one video every single day, where is his time actually going?
Not into calls with business owners. Not into closing deals. Not into building and delivering anything.
Into the content. Into the algorithm. Into keeping you watching.
And while you’re sitting there convinced you’re falling behind on the AI rush, he’s collecting views and selling you a high-ticket course or coaching program to teach you what he’s supposedly doing.
You are the business model.
This isn’t cynicism. It’s just how attention economics work. And the sooner you see it clearly, the sooner you stop being the audience and start being the person who actually sells something.
What actually works
While everyone else is watching the ultimate Claude Code tutorial, people actually building agencies are on Zoom talking to business owners.
Running discovery calls. Understanding what’s breaking in their operations and putting the reps in.
That’s the work. Not the tech stack. Not the tutorial. The reps.
Every conversation you have with a real prospect teaches you more than any course ever will. You’ll fail. Like a lot. But that’s the only way forward.
The agencies winning right now aren’t the ones with the best tools.
But the ones with the clearer goals.
Stop consuming. Solve problems.

I've never really asked myself this, "If he’s posting one video every single day, where is his time actually going?"
Cause my perspective immediately changes. I'm just part of their target audience- which is why they're putting in the time to get me hooked daily.
That's interesting
